BOARD GAMES

Board games are a great way to spend time with your family an d get to know each other better. Families with children ages 3- adult can find board games that challenge and involve the whole family. Do you have a favorite childhood memory that involves a board game? Perhaps your family had a "bust the trust" game set up for days and played it every night until there was finally a winner. Pass that love of board games on to your children. Today's children are surrounded by instant gratification games. They do not have the opportunity to practice strategic thinking, or use their imagination.

You will find when you sit down to play a board game with your children they will relish the chance to think and imagine. The family table with a board game on it, will be just what you remember, a time of laughter, competition, jesting, conversation and just plain fun. Your children will be asking you for a board game night surprisingly often.

You will find that regular board game nights bring your family closer together. It offers opportunity for conversation that watching a video together does not allow. That closeness changes everything.

It is never too early to start playing board games with your children. Do you have a favorite board game you played as teen or pre-teen? Likely, that same board game has a junior version. You can share your love of that game with even your youngest children. Start building relationships now, using a family board game night and they will continue through the years.
