Small Business Opportunity
Most of us harbor the dream of owning a small business. So, when a small business opportunity happens to come along, we sit up and take notice.
There are many reasons why the pursuit of a small business opportunity is an alluring prospect. For one, if a small business opportunity is brought to fruition, it offers you the opportunity to use your talents, be your own boss and earn real money. It makes you master of your own destiny because you don't have to count on someone else for job security. Having your own small business affords you freedom from the threats of being fired, made redundant or, as is increasingly happening, from being outsourced.
As with all good things in life, there is a down side too. In this instance the down side is that where there is small business opportunity, there will also be a small business risk. Nothing exciting ever comes without risk. All businesses, big and small, have to contend with demographical changes, the fickleness of tastes and styles, evolving technologies and fluctuating economic cycles. The effects of these changes are amplified where small businesses are concerned: A big loss in a big business is a tremor. The same loss in a small business is an earthquake.
Although there is no guarantee that you can parlay your small business opportunity into a success, the upside of being on your own probably outweighs the risks. Those with trust in their judgment and confidence in their abilities, often transform a small business opportunity into a small business reality, earning better than before and achieving levels of self-fulfillment previously thought impossible.
According to a Wall Street Journal survey, four-fifths of all small business owners said they'd do it all over again and three-fourths, that they were financially better off than working for someone else.
So, if you're toying with the idea of pursuing a small business opportunity, the result of this survey should be encouragement enough!
