Trash The Wedding Dress

The latest craze to hit wedding photography is "trash the dress" sessions. In these sessions, brides who are looking for something different and doesn't mind getting their dress dirty (or maybe even trashed) are doing things in their wedding dresses that they wouldn't do before or during the wedding because you're scared to get a speck of dust on it.

Trash the Dress is meant first and foremost to be a fun event, it's about not worrying about a dress that you will no longer need, and it is seen as a commitment to your husband.

Although trash the dress is not for everyone, it is not meant as a disrespectful comment on the state of matrimony, but rather as something lighthearted and fun.

Trash the dress is getting even bigger. It is a growing trend in photography based on two principles: if you found the love of your life, you will never need to wear your wedding dress again, and if you're saving it for your daughter, chances are she simply won't want to wear the dress at her own wedding decades from now.

The idea behind trash the dress is to take artistic photographs in your wedding gown after the wedding day.

Don't forget to mention your intentions to trash the dress when shopping for a photographer. You might want to ask if your photographer has done this before and if so look at a portfolio.

Most times the dresses can be cleaned by the cleaners anyway so might as well have some fun in the dress. Good Luck and let me know how it goes!!!
